Come celebrate the life of Mocha Latte, our sweet beautiful petite unicorn. Mocha, our Miniature Horse Mare, crossed the rainbow bridge on January 2nd. We are going to hold a memorial in her honor on Sunday, January 30th at 11:00am. Please bring your stories and pictures to share. If you can find it in your heart to donate in Mocha’s memory, your kind donation will help us continue.

From our Founder, Cynthia Haberin:

Mocha came to us with too many ailments, too thin, laminitis, heaves, metabolic issues, ulcers. She came to us when we began our rescue journey and we learned so much from her. She was strong and determined to have a good horsie life, but she was always so very fragile.

We made her comfortable, loved her, gave her friends with which to live her last few years.

Mocha Latte was our poster child as she thrived and gained weight not long after her arrival.

Mocha was a sassy pony. She taught us to care for her gently, learn about her dietary needs and no matter what, she wanted to be with her mini friends to the last!

Mocha taught us how to care for her feet. She appreciated being brushed and braided. Winter was not her favorite time of year, warm weather gave her energy. Seems Mocha always loved her blankets! She was a beautiful color, brownish grey with a white mane and tail. A picture post card pony.

Mocha Latte will be terribly missed! One of the mini mares with attitude. Mocha has no pain now, I’m sure she is running, eating the green grass she was denied in life. We will keep you in our hearts with love, until you greet your caretakers at the rainbow bridge!
This is Rescue. Some days are much harder than others. We will remember her good days, they were numerous!

We welcome all your reminisces of Hay Burr Inn and Mocha Latte.
