Oreo continued on her journey, crossing the rainbow bridge to meet her friends who passed before her. Come celebrate the life of Oreo, our sweet miniature horse on Sunday, January 22nd at 11:30 am. Please bring your stories and pictures to share. If you can find it in your heart to donate in Oreo’s memory, your kind donation will help us continue.
From our Founder, Cynthia Haberin:
Oreo was one of the first to live at Hay Burr Inn, she was here for almost ten years. Oreo had a few health issues and lameness which we helped her deal with and live a wonderful life at the Inn. Oreo was much older than thought, but her last years were happy and healthy. Oreo was also a favorite as she loved the attention given by our guests. Oreo was an easygoing mini who patiently allowed our new volunteers to learn how to care for horses. She is sadly missed. Especially by Don Quixote who loved her and would wait for her to walk to the mini pen where they spent their days. Oreo passed surrounded by her friends, Don Quixote and Java Joe, quietly and with love. Oreo leaves a hole in our hearts, which will be difficult to heal. Run Free Oreo!
This is Rescue. Some days are much harder than others. We will remember her good days, they were numerous!
We welcome all your reminisces of Hay Burr Inn and Oreo.
